MADHUBANI, Aug. 8 -- In a significant development aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure, the district administration of Madhubani has taken steps towards the establishment of Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) in the district. While a proposal for setting up a Kendriya Vidyalaya in the Madhubani Sadar subdivision had already been submitted earlier, a fresh and separate proposal has now been sent for the Jhanjharpur subdivision as well. Recognising the district's vast geographical spread, high population density, and growing educational demands, District Magistrate Anand Sharma clarified on Thursday that both proposals are independent and not alternatives to each other. He emphasised that the new proposal for Jhanjharpur reflects the district's evolving academic needs and complements the already existing proposal for Madhubani subdivision. "The proposal for Madhubani subdivision remains intact. If only one Kendriya Vidyalaya is approved for the district by the state and central governments, the proposal for Madhubani will be prioritised," said the DM. He further noted that the additional proposal for Jhanjharpur has been submitted in response to the increasing educational requirements in that region.
