PURNEA, Sept. 27 -- Three days after a tourist bus caught fire at Greater Noida which claimed nine lives, another tourist bus caught fire in Bihar's Khagaria on Saturday morning, police said, adding all the passengers were safely evacuated. The tourist bus coming from Nepal was bound to Gaya Ji when the bus took a halt near a Motel on NH-31 under Mansi police station after someone reported a gas leak. "Soon after the passengers were safely evacuated, three cylinders exploded one after another and the whole bus was engulfed in fire. "There were 60 devotees in the bus and all were on their way to Gaya Ji during Pitri Paksha," one of the devotees identified as Sunil Kumar told while thanking God to bless their lives. "We would have been charred, if the bus staff had not alerted us timely," he said. Mansi station house officer (SHO) Deepak Kumar who reached the site soon after the incident said, "All passengers are safe and we have started a probe to find out the exact causes of fire," adding, "Prima facie it appears it was caused due to CNG leak."
