Three held in honour killing case, say police
PATNA, Sept. 15 -- Patna police on Sunday claimed to have solved the honour killing case of a teenage couple with the arrest of three accused.
The mutilated bodies of a 19-year-old youth and a 16-year-old girl were recovered from the Patna-Gaya railway track near Pothi halt under Dhanarua police station on September 12.
"During interrogation of the arrested accused, it came to light that the boy and girl had rented a room in Ramkrishna Nagar after fleeing their homes on September 11. The girl's uncle, Sunil Kumar, along with over a dozen members of the Mahakaal gang, reached the rented room, dragged the couple out and brutally assaulted them. Later, they strangled both to death," Patna City SP (East) Parichay Kumar said.
The City SP further said that after the incident, the accused threw the bodies on railway track to show it a suicide case....
