AURANGABAD, Sept. 2 -- A 15-year-old student was allegedly gang-raped by three men from her village in Bihar's Aurangabad district on Monday, police said, adding that the suspects lured the victim into a vehicle under the pretext of taking her to her mother, before driving her to a secluded area to commit the crime. Police has arrested two of the accused, while a search is underway for the third.
According to police, the victim's mother had taken her children to the Kutumba Referral Hospital for treatment and had asked the girl to join them there. Around 12:30 p.m., while the girl was en route, three young men present near Deoria canal offered to drop her at the hospital in their car.
The suspects allegedly drove her over 50 kilometers to a secluded area in Madanpur. According to police, the accused initially planned to kill the victim, but abandoned her near the canal around 6:30 p.m. after she pleaded for her life and promised to remain silent about the incident. The girl was eventually able to reach home and recount the ordeal to her parents, leading her father, a daily wage labourer, to file a formal complaint with the police.
