state Eduction department forms panel to sort teachers' transfer issues
PATNA, Aug. 13 -- Less than a week after chief minister Nitish Kumar announced that three choices would be given to teachers having issues with transfer, the education department on Tuesday issued a notification for setting up establishment committee in every district to deal with the issue.
As per the notification, the committee headed by the district magistrate and comprising deputy development commissioner, additional DM, district education officer (DEO), DPO and nominated officials from woman, minority and SC/ST community would look into all kinds of issues related to transfer, including intra-district and inter-district transfers and grievances.
The committee will make the recommendations for inter-district transfers on the basis of which it would be carried out.
The eight-member committee has also been authorised for deputation of teachers within the district on sanctioned posts, as many schools have been found to be without adequate strength after recent transfers.
The notification comes into force with immediate effect.
The CM had last Thursday announced that after getting suggestions from various sources on the recent transfer of teachers, he had done a detailed review and come to the conclusion that the three choices should be taken from teachers having persistent problems with inter-district transfer in order to address their grievances....
