Shah takes stock of poll readiness
PATNA, Sept. 27 -- Union home minister Amit Shah and Bihar election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, along with top BJP leaders of the state, on Friday, discussed preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.
Shah is on a two-day visit to the state. On Friday, he addressed BJP workers, party MLAs, MPs from 10 organisational districts at Bettiah, the district headquarters of West Champaran.
On Saturday, the home minister will address party leaders of Saharsa, Purnea and Bhagalpur districts in Araria. This will be Shah's second visit to the state in 10 days.
The discussion revolved around elections and how to achieve Mission 25.
"The Union home minister Amit Shah and election in-charge reviewed election preparedness and gave tips for achieving two-third majority," said BJP Bihar president Dilip Jaiswal.
"All 40 observers drawn from different states were given charge of one Lok Sabha each and tasks were given to each and every member. The home minister asked to contest polls strongly," said Jaiswal.
On his first visit to the state after becoming Bihar election in-charge, Pradhan said, "Under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar, we have been in power for the last 20 years. With the support, vision, and leadership of the Prime Minister and the leadership of Nitish Kumar, the people of Bihar will give us the opportunity to serve them again."
"The home minister sounded optimistic about the NDA's return to power in the state again. During a meeting with the functionaries drawn from 10 districts, the home minister was satisfied with the progress made to make the people benefitted from schemes including the central government's. He shed light on how to communicate with the voters at grassroots," said Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Member of Parliament (MP) from Saran seat.
During his previous visit to Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district, he had set a target to win a majority of the seats in Shahabad and Magadh region, where the NDA's performance was not satisfactory in the 2020 assembly polls....
