Shah reaches Patna on campaign visit; BJP releases list of star campaigners
PATNA, Oct. 17 -- Union home minister Amot Shah held a meeting with BJP leaders and took feedback on election preparedness here on Thursday evening. Shah is on a three-day election campaign visit to the state.
The minister is scheduled to address two election meetings at Tairaiya and Amnour on Friday and would also address a gathering of intellectuals in the state capital, later in the evening.
This is Shah's first visit to the state after the formal announcement of seat-sharing arrangements and candidate names within the NDA alliance. Shah's visit comes at time when nomination process and electioneering are gathering momentum.
On October 17, Shah will hold a comprehensive review meeting with BJP candidates and key functionaries to assess campaign preparedness and strategy. He will also chair coordination meetings with leaders of alliance partners, underlining the NDA's emphasis on unity and collective strength ahead of the polls.
