BETTIAH, June 10 -- Bettiah Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Shaurya Suman suspended seven Sub-Inspectors (SIs) and an equal number of Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) from seven police stations in West Champaran for alleged negligence in duty during night patrolling, officials said on Tuesday. The SP said that during surprise inspections to assess duty performance, night patrolling, surveillance, and other policing activities, these police personnel were found negligent in discharging their duties at police stations in Bairia, Nautan, Jagdishpur, Balthar, Sikta, Purushottampur, and Inarwa. Following this, disciplinary action was initiated and they were suspended. Those suspended include SIs Harendra Kumar of Bairia police station, Pooja Kumari of Nautan, Sadhu Sharan Singh of Jagdishpur, Samsad Ahmad and Akhilesh Prasad of Balthar, Sanjeev Kumar of Sikta, and Ajay Kumar of Purushottampur. The suspended ASIs are Upendra Prasad of Bairia, Sujoy Kumar of Nautan, Pankaj Paswan of Jagdishpur, Pawan Kumar and Sunil Kumar of Inarwa, Mahanand Prasad of Balthar, and Vidyanand Kamat of Purushottampur....
