JAMSHEDPUR, Aug. 15 -- The ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter roll in Jharkhand has been extended upto October 14 for the convenience of the citizens, officials said on Friday. Tey added that the final voter roll after SIR will now be published on October 19. "The Election Commission of India (ECI) has extended the period for filing claim and objections for SIR upto September 15, 2026. In addition, the ECI has also extended the period for the issuance of notices and the disposal of claims and objections upto October 14, 2026.
