Rs.35L worth gold stolen from flat
PATNA, April 6 -- In a daring daylight incident, miscreants took away cash and valuables worth Rs.35 lakh from the flat of Neetu Kumari, a clerk posted at Nalanda Medical College, in Gandhi Nagar area under Agamkuan police station on Saturday, police said.
Police said the incident took place at flat no. 202, Munindra Kutir apartment, located at Kanti factory Road Mahatma Gandhi Nagar after Neetu locked her flat for her office, while her husband Kumar Brajesh, a teacher posted at Punpin left for school.
"When Neetu returned to her flat around 12.10pm, she found that the main door of the house was open. As she entered the room, she saw that the rooms were ransacked and the locker was broken. The criminals decamped with jewellery worth Rs.35 lakh," said a police officer.
SHO of Agamkuan police station, Rajesh Kumar Jha said that Neetu on Sunday lodged a theft case worth Rs.35 lakh.
"The police are scanning the CCTV footage and raids are on to trace the miscreants involved in the crime," he added....
