SASARAM, Dec. 27 -- A ropeway being built by Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited (BRPNNL) to access historical and unapproachable Rohtasgarh Fort in Rohtas district of south Bihar, collapsed during a trial run on Friday. Costing over Rs.13 crore, it was scheduled to open in the new year, officials said. During the trial run, the ropeway pillar failed to bear the load and collapsed along with the trolley. The cable also snapped and fell to the ground. No one was inside the trolley at the time, which prevented any casualties.
