ARA, March 15 -- A pregnant woman shot herself under the jurisdiction of Brahmpur police station in Buxar district on Saturday, officials said. Officials further said that she is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Ara. The 23-year-old woman, a resident under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district, married a man she loved in 2021. The man's maternal uncle's house was in the same village where she lived. When the families of both the boy and girl did not become ready for their marriage, they decided to marry in a temple and it was held on October 4, 2021. Later, the man's family accepted the marriage, but the woman's family remained unwilling to do so. On Friday, the woman, who was six- month pregnant, went to the house of her father to tell the news about her pregnancy. But the family members of woman drove her out from the house. Then, the woman returned to her in-laws' house and shot herself....
