RANCHI, Sept. 15 -- The district unit of Jharkhand Police tracked down and rescued a youth within two hours of his abduction from the heart Ranchi late on Sunday night, officials said. The rescue operation exposed the brutality inflicted upon the victim by a gang seeking revenge over a long-standing feud involving a girl. SP (City) Paras Rana said,"Around 12:10 AM (intervening night of Sunday and Monday), victim Harsh Kumar, was returning home in Kadru from a birthday party in Lalpur with his friends. When their i-20 car broke down near Kartik Oraon Chowk, an XUV 500 pulled up beside them. Three to four armed miscreants forcibly dragged Kumar into their vehicle and sped away." Explaining the swift action after abduction, Rana said, "As friends of Harsh alerted the police, our teams cordoned off targeted locations and successfully tracked the victim to a secluded forest area under Nagri PS inside of 120 minutes." Rana said the kidnappers stripped the victim naked and brutally assaulted him. They also filmed a video of the victim. Additionally, they forced him to sign a Government of Jharkhand stamp paper under duress. "The victim was found in a highly traumatised state and was immediately taken into protective custody for medical treatment. The motive behind this crime stems from a revenge angle regarding an old dispute involving a girl," Rana said. Informing about those involved in the crime, Rana said four key conspirators were arrested from the spot They included Asgar Khan, Vinay Sahu, and Akash Sahu, residents of Lohardaga district, besides Bhola Nayak, a Ranchi resident. Police also recovered the XUV 500 (JH01BZ6636) used in the crime, smartphones, Rs.6,500 cash....
