PATNA, June 9 -- Senior officers at the Bihar police headquarters (PHQ) have instructed Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikey K Sharma to arrest Faisal Khan alias Khan Sir and take necessary action against him, ensuring the accused is brought under the course of justice, police said on Monday. The development comes after rival coaching groups, some teachers and student leaders demanded Khan's arrest following the registration of an FIR against him on June 4. They questioned why he "roams freely" even though Raushan Anand was arrested within hours. "Patna police acted swiftly to arrest Anand, the director of Gyan Bindu GS Academy, along with two associates, Abhishek and Gaurav. Why isn't a similar rule of law being shown now, and why hasn't Khan been arrested?" asked a student, Khusboo. "We will go on a fast unto death." The District and Sessions Court of Patna is set to hear Khan's anticipatory bail plea on Tuesday.
