Over 70 trainee women cops fall ill due to food poisoning in Rohtas distt
SASARAM, Sept. 24 -- More than 70 female trainee constables from the Bihar Police Women's Battalion at Sasaram fell ill due to food poisoning, officials said.
The female constables of the women's battalion stationed at Beda near Sasaram, complained of dizziness, stomach upset, vomiting, and diarrhea when came in the barracks after eating lunch in afternoon. Battalion commandant Lipi Singh rushes to the barracks with officials and the panicking trainee constables were taken to Sadar Hospital at Sasaram.
The team of doctors and paramedical staff were treating them. All the constables were stable and were recovering, doctors said.
Superintendent of police Rohtas, Raushan Kumar said that a case would be registered and action would be taken against the persons responsible for preparing and offering contamidated food to the constables....
