NIA raids many locations in Lohardaga
RANCHI, July 17 -- Intensifying its crackdown on cross-border terror modules, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out early morning searches at multiple hideouts in the Lohardaga district.
Though the NIA has not yet officially confirmed the raid, sources close to the NIA informed that armed with search warrants and backed by central paramilitary forces and local police, anti-terror squads arrived around 4am to search properties linked to suspects.
"The targeted operations focused on the family homes of prime accused Aman Ansari and Saif Ansari, located in areas under the Sadar Police Station jurisdiction. Specialised equipment, including utility cranes to access locked upper floors was used in the raid. During the multi-hour searches, heavy focus was placed on collecting digital evidence. Mobile phones were scanned and seized. Besides, laptops, Aadhaar cards and passports were sent for technical and forensic review," a source close to the NIA said. HTC...
