MLA in trouble over remarks against UP min
SAHARSA, Dec. 20 -- The hijab row further escalated when Saharsa lawmaker Indrajeet Prasad Gupta urged the people to strike UP minister Sanjay Nishad with stones at crossroads for his remark defending Nitish Kumar's pulling down hijab.
This happened after Madhepura RJD MLA Chandrashekhar landed in controversy after the project manager of a private construction company lodged an FIR with Madhepura police under various sections of BNS accusing him of demanding extortion of Rs 1 crore.
The MLA of Indian Inclusive Party (IIP), I P Gupta termed the UP minister's remark shameless and said, "The minister should be hit with stones at crossroads for the remark that has disgraced everyone."
Sanjay Nishad sparked a controversy with his remarks defending Nitish Kumar over the removal of the hijab of a woman doctor at a public event in Patna. Nishad had claimed that Nitish Kumar pulled the woman's hijab to verify whether the appointment letter was being given to the correct person. He questioned how the incident would have been perceived had the Bihar CM 'touched' her anywhere else....
