"Murari was going to buy land in Masaurhi and had asked his sister for one lakh rupees. Pooja wanted the land registered in her name, while Murari did not agree," he said. The house owner and locals told police that Pooja had been living in the house with her daughter since May 2024. She claimed to be separated from her husband. Locals often saw Murari visiting and assumed they were in a normal relationship.
