GAYA JI, April 13 -- Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) in a joint special search at Gaya junction railway station on Sunday, arrested a young man who was roaming on the premises while posing as an officer of the Intelligence Bureau (IB). The accused has been identified as Vikram Kumar, a resident of Masaurhi in Patna district. The Railway Police recovered a fake identity card and a tablet device from his possession. RPF station house officer, inspector Banarsi Yadav said that the suspicious youth was spotted on Platform No. 6. When questioned by the rail police, he identified himself as a junior investigation officer with the Intelligence Bureau (IB). Arousing suspicion, his identity card was sent to the local IB office for verification, where it was confirmed to be completely fake. The investigation revealed that the accused had been wandering within the railway premises, posing as a fake officer and misleading the public. A case has been registered against the accused under section 171 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and he has subsequently been arrested. The police are now interrogating him to ascertain the motive behind his use of a fake identity, specifically to determine whether he was involved in any fraudulent activities or other criminal acts, inspector Yadav said....
