BETTIAH, July 13 -- A 55-year-old man and his 53-year-old wife died of burn injuries after a fire, suspected to have been caused by a short circuit, broke out at their house in Chainpur village under Turkauliya police station area in Bihar's East Champaran early Sunday, police said. Motihari (sadar-1) SDPO Dilip Kumar said the incident took place when they were sleeping as they could not make any attempt to save themselves. "Prima facie, it appears the fire was caused by a short circuit while a mobile phone was being charged," Kumar said.
