IEDs recovered in joint anti-Naxal op
AURANGABAD, Nov. 18 -- Police, Special Task Force and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 47 battalion recovered powerful Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and fuse wire during a joint operation near Langurahi hills under Madanpur PS of Aurangabad district on Sunday evening.
Police said, the forces were conducting joint operations in the hilly forest region under the Centre's plan to eliminate Left-wing extremism by March 31 2026. Following input that the Maoists had planted IEDs on the route to ambush the forces, the joint team thoroughly searched the earthen road near Langurahi hills. Two IEDs weighing 2.5kg each were located and were safely dug out by the bomb squad. At least 25 m fuse wire was also recovered....
