Four bodies found in Patna City; probe on
PATNA, May 15 -- Four unidentified bodies were found from different police station areas in Patna City on Thursday, police said.
Police said they found the bodies of a woman aged about 45 years and a man aged about 40 years from Bhadra Ghat area, and the third body from Jalla Road under Alamganj police station. The fourth body was found in Simli area under Malsalami police station. All are yet to be identified, police said.
Additional SHO of Alamganj Kunjan Kumar said, "The 40-year-old man was wearing a black checkered full-sleeve shirt and blue jeans and likely died due to drowning. The third elderly man found on Jalla Road is suspected to have passed away due to illness. However, the cause will be clear after the autopsy is released."
Three bodies found in Alamganj area were at the Bhadra Ghat banks of the Ganges and on Jalla Road while the fourth body of a 30-year-old man wearing a white shirt and blue jeans was pulled from a well at a religious site on Simli Main Road under the Malsalami police station, police said.
An FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team inspected the site. Malsalami station house officer (SHO) Sunil Kumar said that no severe injury marks were found on the body.
The police have kept all unidentified bodies in the mortuary for a 72-hour to allow for identification. An investigation is underway, police added....
