Jamshedpur, Aug. 11 -- Another female Maoist Anita Kayam, close to arrested sub-zonal committee member (SZCM) Ravi Sardar alias Sagar alias Biren Singh alias Chota Vijay, surrendered before the Seraikela-Kharsawan police on Monday even as a joint team of district police and Sashastra Seema Bal(SSB) recovered cache of arms from Dalma foothills near Asanboni village and Kuchai police station limits, officials said on Monday. "Anita Kayam, close to arrested Rs. 5 lakh CPI (Maoist) SZCM Ravi Sardar alias Sagar alias Biren Singh has surrendered and is being interrogated. She was involved in a dozen cases of Maoist subversive acts. Meanwhile, at the instance of 28-year-old Ravi Sardar, his wife 26-year-old Meena Pahariya and Rs. 15 lakh RCM 54-year-old Madan Mahato alias Shankar, cache of arms and ammunition have been recovered in a joint operation by district police, CoBRA-209 and SSB from Sikaramba jungles under the Kuchai police station (PS) and Dalma Hills near Asanboni village under the Chandil PS," Manoj Swargiyari, Seraikela-Kharsawan superintendent of police (SP), told Hindustan Times on Monday. "Anita Kayam was in a very close relationship with Ravi Sardar. The revelation came to the fore during interrogation of Ravi Sardar and she surrendered after the latter convinced her to do so in a letter," an officer said. According to the SP, a joint team of district police, CoBRA-209 CRPF-173 and SSB recovered an AKM-47 rifle, two magazines, 7.62 mm 361 live cartridges of AKM-47 rifle, a 9 mm pistol, 42 rounds of 9 mm bullets, an INSAS rifle, a Motorola walkie-talkie, three bundles of codex wire used for IED blasts, a Pulsar motorcycle etc hidden in Dalma Hill jungles near Asanboni village under Chandil PS. "At the instance of Ravi Sardar, Madan Mahato and Meena Pahariya after taking them on remand, the joint team of district police, CoBRA-209 and SSB-26 from Ranchi recovered two 303 rifles, three magazines, eight chargers of 303 rifles, country-made pistol, a 5.56 mm INSAS rifle, four of its magazines, a 7.62 mm SLR rifle, three of its magazines, 171 live 7.62 mm bullets, 126 live 5.56 mm cartridges, a country-made 9 mm pistol, 12 of its live cartridges, two of its magazines and an IED with two detonators from Sikaramba jungles under Kuchai PS today," added Swargiyari....
