PATNA, Sept. 24 -- A joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) and Gaurichak police arrested a wanted criminal and his son on Tuesday, officials said. Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikram Sihag said the raid was conducted at the house of the accused's in-laws in Nizanpur village, based on specific intelligence inputs. The operation led to the arrest of Lalbabu Gope and his son Abhishek Gope alias Ajit, residents of Alamganj in Patna City. Lalbabu Gope had been involved in a murder case in 2018, and his gang members had reportedly gathered at Didarganj to commit another crime. The SP added that during the search, police recovered one pistol, two magazines, 35 live cartridges, five cell phones, one tablet, and Rs.45 lakh in cash.
