PATNA, Nov. 2 -- A 21-year-old female orchestra dancer was allegedly gang-raped by two men after she was invited to perform at a birthday party at a rented house in Shivpur locality under Laheri police station limits in Nalanda on Saturday nights, police said. A police officer said that the incident came to light when the girl approached the police station and narrated her ordeal. "The girl told the police that she and another dancer were invited to a birthday party for a dance performance. She alleged that seven men were present in the room when they arrived and that two of them sexually assaulted her after the other woman left," he added. A forensic science laboratory (FSL) team was sent to collect the evidence from the crime scene, said the police officer. Police said that during investigation, it was found that the girl who worked as dancer was hired through a broker who supplies dancers to perform at various events and while she was alone in the room, two youths forcibly raped.
