PATNA, Aug. 13 -- The Bihar police on Wednesday said a CID team led by DIG Jayant Kant has been rushed to Jogiya village under Dinara police station of Rohtas to investigate the murder of labourer Chandeshwar Chaudhary who was killed over pending wages on August 4. According to the police, Chaudhary was shot dead in the house of accused Ajit Tiwari, a landowner, and his body was found 36 hours after the incident. The discovery enraged villagers who set fire to the accused's house and several vehicles, including a harvester, tractor and car. The deceased's family informed that Chandeshwar and his son Deepak Chaudhary had earlier worked as herders for Ajit Tiwari. A dispute later arose over the payment of wages and Chaudhary was first thrashed and then shot dead, the family added. The accused and his son Ritik Tiwari were later arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur, Additional director general (headquarter) Sunil Kumar and additional director general (law and order) KS Anupam said. Following this, three separate cases were registered with the Dinara police station. One case was related to the murder of Chandeshwar in which five people, including Ajit, have been named as accused. The second case is about the attack on the police, in which 16 named and 400 unknown people have been booked and the third case pertains to the attack and vandalism at the house of the accused. "A team led by the DIG (CID) has visited Dinara for investigation where the labourer was killed. The killing and its aftermath will be thoroughly investigated. Hundreds of social media posts mentioning the said incident have been taken down. A case has also been registered with Rohtas's Cyber police station in this regard. During the investigation, the police found that the relationship between Chandeshwar and Ajit was very old. Two years ago, the deceased had stopped working at Ajit's house. The police have recovered 21 live and five empty cartridges from the vicinity of Tiwari's house," said both officials....
