BETTIAH, Oct. 5 -- Hariya police in East Champaran, in coordination with the 47th battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), arrested a Nepali national and seized a large quantity of charas, valued at over Rs.1 crore, in Raxaul, police said on Saturday evening. In an official statement issued on October 3, the East Champaran police said that, acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the SSB and Hariya police intercepted an e-rickshaw at the Bharat-Nepal Maitri Pul in Raxaul on Saturday and seized 11.246 kg of charas from the possession of a Nepali citizen.
