CEO reviews Dhanbad poll roll revision
Dhanbad, June 30 -- Reviewing preparations for the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Dhanbad, chief electoral officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar on Monday directed officials to ensure that no eligible voter was excluded from the electoral roll. He announced that booth-level officers (BLOs) would launch a door-to-door campaign from June 30 to July 29 to distribute partially pre-filled enumeration forms, with the draft electoral roll scheduled for publication on August 5.
Ravi Kumar reviewed the district's action plan for the revision exercise and said voters whose records were successfully mapped with the previous SIR would not be required to submit any additional documents. However, electors whose mapping couldn't be completed would receive notices through BLOs and might be required to furnish supporting documents before the final publication of the electoral roll.
The CEO said every voter would receive two copies of the partially pre-filled enumeration form. One copy was to be submitted to the BLO after completion, while the other would remain with the voter as an acknowledged receipt. He appealed to all electors to cooperate with BLOs....
