Dhanbad, July 20 -- District administrations in Bokaro and Dhanbad on Sunday intensified the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 of electoral rolls, urging voters to complete and submit their enumeration forms within the stipulated deadline. In Bokaro, the district administration launched a 24x7 helpline for voters of the 36-Bokaro Assembly constituency to assist them in obtaining, filling and submitting enumeration forms. Voters who have not yet received the forms can contact the helpline to obtain them and seek guidance on any issues related to the process. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ajay Nath Jha also inspected special SIR camps across the Bokaro Assembly constituency, visiting polling stations at Delhi Public School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Bokaro Mahila College. He reviewed the progress of collection and digitisation of enumeration forms, interacted with voters and directed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to ensure timely digitisation while maintaining quality and transparency. He also asked officials to reach out to the maximum number of eligible voters. "Voting is not only a right but also a responsibility towards democracy. Every voter should obtain the enumeration form, fill it correctly and submit it to the concerned Booth Level Officer within the prescribed time so that their details remain updated in the electoral roll," Jha said. Meanwhile, in Dhanbad, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Aditya Ranjan conducted surprise inspections at polling stations located at Middle School Jharudih and Millat High School to review the distribution, collection and digitisation of enumeration forms under SIR-2026. He directed Booth Level Officers and election officials to ensure that every eligible voter is covered and that digitisation of forms is completed within the stipulated timeframe. Ranjan also interacted with voters to understand the form-filling process and reviewed arrangements at the polling stations. Appealing to voters of the Dhanbad and Jharia Assembly constituencies, Ranjan urged them to attend the special camps being organised at their respective polling stations on July 20.
