PATNA, May 30 -- The Bihar BJP on Friday announced a new team of state office-bearers, along with heads of its various organisational fronts (morchas). As expected, the new team headed by state president Sanjay Saraogi has nearly 50% new faces. The new list includes 14 vice presidents, 14 ministers, five general secretaries, one treasurer, two co-treasurers, and a state headquarters in-charge and an office officer. Among the new faces, MLA Nisha Singh became the president of the Mahila Morcha replacing Dharamshila Gupta, Jitendra Singh replaces Bharatendu Mishra as the president of the Youth Front. Similarly, Ram Sumiran Singh has become the president of the Farmers' Front. Mines and Geology Minister Pramod Chandravanshi has been appointed the president of the OBC Front. MLA Sujit Paswan has been given the responsibility of president of the Scheduled Caste Front. Niranjan Panjiyar Tharu has been given the responsibility of president of the Scheduled Tribe Front. Mahbul Haq will be the president of the Minority Front. Haribhushan Thakur Bachaul, Rakesh Kumar, Santosh Pathak, Manoj Kumar Singh, Annamika Paswan, Rama Singh, Pawan Jaiswal, Pranav Kumar Yadav, Santosh Ranjan Rai, Nand Prasad Chauhan, Anil Thakur, Mukesh Sharma, Sheela Kushwaha and Balram Mandal have been appointed state vice-presidents. Saroj Ranjan Patel, Dhanraj Sharma, Preeti Shekhar, Nitin Abhishek and Rajor Jha (Raju Jha) have been made state general secretaries. Further, 14 leaders have been given the responsibility of pradesh mantris. Vikram Narayan Singh has been appointed state treasurer, while Rajesh Sinha and Ankur Gupta have been appointed co-treasurers. Akshay Kumar has been appointed the state headquarters in-charge, and Vinay Kesari has been assigned the responsibility of the office minister. Party leaders said the appointment of new office bearers and front presidents will help in strengthening the organisation further down to the booth level.
