PATNA, Sept. 26 -- Amid rising crime concerns, the police headquarters (PHQ) on Friday directed all range IGs and DIGs to step up law and order monitoring from September 25 to 28, officials said, adding that officers have been tasked with prioritizing the clearance of pending cases, the execution of warrants, property attachments, and enhanced patrolling. Besides this, three dozen senior police officers from the PHQ have been deployed into the field to ensure improved law and order and crime control in the state. These include ten additional director generals(ADGs), eight IGs and 18 DIGs. The letter issued by ADG (Law & Order) has also sought a detailed report on September 29. The report should include action taken against erring officials . The PHQ instructed to highlight the deficiencies observed during the district inspection and to suggest measures to rectify them. The ADG has also separately directed all the incharge and nodal officers to visit their respective areas to review policing on a regular basis and submits report on laid down parameters. In the order, the PHQ stated that senior officials appointed as district nodal officers will conduct field visits to review the policing of the entire district. Additionally, they review of pending warrants, notices, police patrols, etc. will also be undertaken. All district SSPs, SPs, DSPs, etc., have been instructed to provide officers with the necessary records, statistics, and other information during field visits. The PHQ directed the range IGs/DIGs to visit the districts under their jurisdiction until September 28. Until Monday, the IGs/DIGs will also be on night halt/stay in their respective districts. ADG KS Anupam has been allocated to Patna, while ADJ R Mallar Vizhi is assigned to Nalanda. Amit Kumar Jain is the ADJ for Vaishali, ADG Amrit Raj takes charge of Bhojpur, and ADJ Sudhanshu Kumar is allocated to Darbhanga. Nayyar Hassan Khan serves as ADJ for Muzaffarpur, Kamal Kishore Singh as ADJ for Samastipur, Parasnath as ADJ for Munger, and Ajitabh Kumar as ADJ for Gopalganj. ADG Amit Lodha is assigned to Lakhisarai and Sheikhpura, IG Rajesh Kumar to Purnea, IG P Kannan to Saran, IG Anusuiya R Sahu to Aurangabad, and IG Pankaj Kumar to Bhagalpur and Nawagchhia. Additionally, IG Premlata is assigned to Jehanabad, IG Ranjit Kumar Mishra to Madhubani, IG Manoj Kumar to Gaya, and IG Sanjay Kumar to Betiya and Bagha.
