PATNA, Aug. 10 -- The All India Students Association (AISA) will launch a "Gen Z campaign" to mobilise support against alleged paper leaks in examination, unemployment and other issues concerning youths in the state. AISA functionaries will tour all major universities in Bihar with the message of "Gen Z Rising" and hold student-youth parliaments and regional conventions, said a senior leader of AISA in Patna on Sunday. Starting on August 11 in Siwan, the campaign aspires at reclaiming university autonomy, halting the commercialisation of public education and demanding transparent recruitment processes. The "Gen Z Rising" campaign will then proceed to Ara on August 13, Bettiah on August 18, Chhapra and Motihari on August 19, Darbhanga on August 20, Madhepura on August 22, Bhagalpur on August 25, Gayaji on August 29, Purnea on August 31, Muzaffarpur on September 2, Munger on September 3 before its final culmination in Patna on September 7. AISA Bihar unit chief Dhananjay slammed the state government alleging that public educational institutions were systematically undermined in the state. "Instead of developing state-funded schools and colleges, the government continues pushing for fee hikes, outsourcing and privatisation," he alleged.
