PURNEA, Feb. 18 -- With the rescue of a six-year-old boy from West Bengal, the Bihar police on Tuesday busted an inter-state human trafficking racket, which is especially active in the state's border areas. The boy was trafficked from West Bengal and sold to a man from Uttar Pradesh before finally being rescued in Purnea district of Bihar. According to the police, the child was abducted from Malbazar police station area in the Jalpaiguri district of North West Bengal on February 14 and was sold to a native of UP for Rs.1.50 lakh.
