Jamshedpur, April 25 -- Six minor girls were rescued at Chakradharpur station on Friday at the nick of time before they were about to being allegedly trafficked to Tamil Nadu and Karanataka in lieu of lucrative jobs and high city life, officials said on Friday. "Our joint team of RPF, GRP, Railway Child Helpline, labour department, Chakradharpur Women police station and district legal service authority rescued six girls in the age group of 14-16 years from Chakradharpur station on Friday. A social organisation from Ranchi also played a crucial role in saving six minor girls from the rural areas. The girls have been handed over to Chaibasa district child welfare committee, Awadhesh Kumar, officer-in-charge of Chakradharpur PS, told HT on Friday.
