PURNEA, Sept. 15 -- The Railway Protection Force (RPF) detained four Myanmar nationals, including three minor girls and a man, from North East Express at the Katihar railway station falling under Northeast Frontier (NF) Railway, police said on Monday. They were en route from Kamakhya to Anand Vihar without valid travel documents on Sunday, police said, adding the man has been identified as 22-year-old Mohammad Noor. Confirming the report, Katihar Rail SP (superintendent of police) Harishankar Kumar said they did not have any passport, visa or a valid document authorising their stay or travel in India. A fifth suspect was also involved but he managed to escape the scene seeing the RPF, the police said, adding that the search was launched to trace him. The Rail SP said, "During routine patrol on Sunday in the Northeast Express at Katihar station, four suspicious individuals were spotted and interrogation and investigation revealed that all were citizens of Myanmar, leading to their detention." "A mobile phone and railway tickets for general coach were recovered from them. Around Rs.220 and 1,090 Bangladeshi takas were found from their possession," police said. During interrogation, they told police that their family members were living in a camp in Jammu and they were travelling to meet them. "They admitted that they had travelled from Myanmar to a refugee camp in Bangladesh and had entered India via that refugee camp," police said....
