PURNEA, Sept. 27 -- The Kishanganj police's special investigation team (SIT) has arrested three suspects in connection with a viral 52-second video that shows a group of men abusing and physically assaulting a young woman, officials said. Soon after the video surfaced on social media on Friday, Kishanganj superintendent of police (SP) Santosh Kumar formed an SIT and on the technical surveillance, digital footprints and local intelligence inputs, all the 8 to 9 youths involved in were identified from the footage and later four of them were apprehended. Minaz alias Salman was arrested from near Purnea Airport, Afsar Alam alias Hati was arrested from near Bagdogra Airport. "Both were living in Karnataka after the incident," police said. The third Shahjad was arrested from Dighalbank area in Kishanganj. "Police are interrogating the arrested persons and raids are underway to nab the rest accused involved in it," police said. In the 52-second viral video circulating on social media showed the alleged misbehaviour with a girl at Tulsiya Railway Halt falling under Dighalbank police station. Though the police discovered that the video was roughly five-month old, it was re-circulated on social media by an undentified person after the incidents of Jamui, Samastipur and Banka. "Based on video footage, five accused have been identified, namely Afsar alias Tajemul, Zubair Khan, Mizan alias Salman, Kamil and Shahzad of nearby villages," police said....
