ARA, Oct. 9 -- Two separate murders were reported under Garahni and Ara town police stations in Bhojpur district between Wednesday and Thursday, police said. In the first incident, a 26-year-old woman, identified as Reena Devi, was allegedly strangled to death by her husband following a domestic dispute late Wednesday night in Sultanpur village, under the Garahni police station. The victim, wife of the accused, Mukesh Kumar Singh, sustained visible injuries to her eyes and neck. Sadar SDPO-1 Sushil Kumar said Mukesh was arrested, and the body was taken into custody for a post-mortem examination at Sadar Hospital. In a separate incident, the body of an unidentified middle-aged woman was discovered on Thursday morning within the Ara Town police station area. Investigations suggest the victim was beaten to death with a brick before her body was disposed of. Evidence at the scene, included blood stains found on the victim's face and ear, as well as a blood-stained brick discovered nearby, police said.
