100,000 teachers will be appointed in 5 yrs, transfer to be easy: Samrat
PATNA, May 23 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday said that the state government would appoint another 100,000 teachers over the next five years -- 20,000 every year.
"For this, advertisement for appointment will be issued in the month of July every year," he said, while issuing instructions after a high-level review of the education department.
In his post on X, however, he did not refer to Teachers' Recruitment Test (TRE-4) for which the aspirants have been agitating for long. Education minister Mithilesh Tiwari had earlier assured that the department was working on it and the notification would soon be issued.
On the vexed issue of teachers' transfer, which often leads to protests, he said it would be made transparent and easy for both men and women.
"The education department has been directed that as much as possible, a policy should be made for the transfer of female teachers to the panchayat next to the home panchayat of their block in the home district and the transfer of male teachers to the block next to their home block in the home district," he added.
The CM said that in all schools of the state, uniforms would be supplied to the students through Jeevika. "This will not only make women self-reliant but also ensure timely supply of dress," he added.
