10 students faint at school in Buxar
BUXAR, April 21 -- Ten students at the Kanahari High School, located in the Rajpur block of Buxar, fainted after morning prayers due to extreme heatwave that is slowing gripping the whole of Bihar.
According to school authorities, all 10 were taken care of and immediately put under ceiling fans before being shifted to local community health centre.
Dr Sujit Kumar of Rajpur CHC said that the students who were brought to CHC were given DNS and their blood pressure was normal. "Some students come in the morning without taking proper breakfast. It is not good specially in this hot season. The heat wave and empty belly are the main reason for such heat-stroke incidents," he said.
Arvind Kumar Singh, the principal of school, said that all classes were called off after the incident....
