10 Circular Road bungalow in BCD possession after rabri exit
PATNA, July 4 -- The building construction department (BCD) formally took possession of the 10 Circular Road bungalow on Friday after thorough verification of the inventory. The property was vacared by Rabri Devi, the leader of opposition in the state legislative council, on Thursday before moving to their private residence at Kautilya Nagar.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad was also living with his wife Rabri in the bungalow.
All government-fitted equipment were found in working condition and duly videographed, according to BCD joint secretary-cum-estate officer Sheo Ranjan. The couple had handed over the keys on Thursday afternoon following weeks of back-and-forth with authorities.
The relocation of the RJD leaders had been possible after a stiff stand-off with the state administration and a political bickering. She was allotted a new residence at 39 Hardinge Road but she has not accepted keys of that house or shown any intent to move there.
RJD national general secretary Bhola Yadav said the family eventually decided to shift to their own Kautilya Nagar house, a plot allotted under a cooperative society scheme for elected representatives in 1986-87. The power couple moved most of their belongings during the day on Thursday, leaving the Circular Road bungalow empty....
