Palwal, Feb. 19 -- A Polish tourist and his cab driver were killed, while another Polish national and a dumper truck driver were critically injured in an accident on the Kundli-Palwal-Manesar Expressway in Palwal district early on Wednesday, police said. The deceased were identified as Michal Majzik from Poland and Mohammad Nafis of Basai Khurd in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Majzik's friend, Agnieszka Kacynel, sustained critical injuries and was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi for treatment. The injured dumper driver, Manjesh Kumar, 29, a resident of Etah in Uttar Pradesh, was admitted to the Palwal civil hospital, officers added. According to police, the two Polish nationals were were headed to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. They had hired a cab from their hotel in Gurugram and were on their way when the accident occurred near Yadupur village around 4am. Sanjay Kadian, public relations officer of Palwal police, said that Kumar's multi-axle dumper truck, loaded with fertiliser, had broken down after one of its wheels came off. Kumar reportedly stepped out and began flashing a torch at approaching vehicles to warn them and divert traffic. At that moment, the cab rammed into the stationary dumper from behind. Kumar was struck and thrown onto the footpath. Soon after, another truck crashed into the cab, crushing it between the two heavy vehicles. The second collision killed Nafis and Majzik and left Kacynel critically injured....
