MCD appoints two DDA reps
New Delhi, Aug. 22 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) house meeting on Thursday elected two councillors - BS Panwar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Krishna Devi Raghav from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) - as its representatives in the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), officials aware of the matter said.
The body also passed a motion thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for dedicating the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) project to the people of Delhi.
"The UER-II project will significantly reduce traffic congestion, ease commuting, and help lower pollution across Delhi," said Delhi mayor Raja Iqbal Singh....
