Man circulates woman's private photos online; Fir Registered
Noida, Aug. 8 -- An unidentified person has been booked for allegedly circulating private photographs of a 25-year-old woman in Noida's Sector 1, and a case registered at Phase 1 police station, police said on Thursday.
Police said that the woman, a student at a Noida institute, in her complaint on August 4 alleged that her private photographs were being shared on social media via a fake account.
"Since January, my private photos have been uploaded. On contacting him to not do so, he demanded to meet once. But after few days he again sent her photos to four friends," read the FIR citing the woman.
"Later, I learnt my photos are being sold in exchange for money," the victim alleged in the FIR. Police "A case under section 66C (punishment of identity theft) of the IT Act has been lodged and a cyber team will probe," said SHO (Phase 1) Amit Kumar Maan....
