MUMBAI, Sept. 1 -- Food delivery platform Zomato is dropping all dishes with analogue dairy products from its listings. Partner restaurants that fail to drop these items from their menus could be dropped from the online food delivery platform. Zomato has also asked partner restaurants to review product labels and ingredient declarations provided by suppliers to ensure accurate representation of the products listed on Zomato. The FDA recently banned analogue paneer in Maharashtra, a substitute for paneer made from vegetable fats, hydrogenated fats and emulsifiers, not dairy. Zomato said non- compliant restaurants could be de-listed from its platform.
