navi MUMBAI, Sept. 10 -- A 32-year-old advocate was killed in an alleged hit-and-run while out for an evening walk on a road leading towards Navi Mumbai International Airport on Monday night, police said. The incident took place at around 8.55pm on September 7 on the Waghivali-Chinchpada road. The victim, Priya Goswami, was walking along the road when an unidentified speeding vehicle allegedly struck her. Goswami sustained severe injuries and later died. The driver allegedly fled the scene without helping her or alerting the authorities, police said. A relative of Goswami subsequently lodged a complaint with the Airport police. A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Sections 106(1), 281 and 125(a)(b), as well as Sections 134(a)(b) and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
