India, June 9 -- For residents of the 750-flat Yogi Hills complex in Mulund, the tanker strike has revived long-standing fears of water insecurity. Located on elevated terrain near Sanjay Gandhi National Park, the society has struggled for years with irregular BMC supply and dependence on tankers. The society routinely halts water supply for a few hours each day to prevent wastage and has advised residents to conserve water. While adequate municipal supply recently spared it from calling tankers, committee member Girdhar Abichandani, committee member, Yogi Hills Association said residents remain wary.
