Using washroom has become a challenge
India, June 9 -- The impact of the tanker strike extends beyond housing societies to commercial establishments. At Crystal Paradise on Veera Desai Road in Andheri, inadequate BMC supply has long forced offices to spend about Rs.1 lakh every month on tanker water. Yatinder Pal, secretary, Crystal Paradise said a prolonged disruption could affect basic workplace functions, including access to toilets and handwashing facilities.
"If the indefinite water tankers strike continues across the city, then basic services like using the toilets or even washing hands may get impacted. I will have no option but to ask people to go to their homes for their basic requirements," he said.
He also warned that employees may have to be sent home if the situation worsens. As a last resort, the complex is now exploring alternative arrangements through informal sources, said Pal, highlighting the challenges businesses face during such crisis....
