two brothers injured after Parking row turns violent
Mumbai, July 12 -- Two brothers were seriously injured after a dispute over parking two-wheelers in a residential building in Dahisar's Shanti Nagar escalated into a violent assault on Friday night.
According to the police, complainant Gyanchand Chavan, a resident of Jankalyan Building, returned home and was parking his two-wheeler when he asked Prathamesh Salve to move his bike slightly to make space. Salve allegedly began abusing Chavan and attempted to assault him, prompting the latter to leave the spot.
After reaching home, Chavan informed his son, Ankit, about the incident. Ankit then went to confront Salve, who, along with Shubham Shinde and Jitesh Shinde, allegedly assaulted him.
When Ankit's brother, Sushant, intervened to rescue him, Jitesh allegedly struck him on the head with a paver block, police said. Salve then allegedly attacked Ankit with a knife before the group fled as residents gathered after hearing the commotion.
The injured brothers were rushed for treatment.
Police have registered a case under sections 109(attempt to murder), 189(unlawful assembly), 190(offence committed in prosecution of common object of an unlawful assembly), 191(rioting), 118(voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) and 351(criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita....
