Thane, Sept. 30 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Pradeep Purnkar was critically injured after unidentified assailants fired three rounds at him near R Mall in Thane's Kapurbawdi area around 10.15pm on Tuesday, police said. Purnkar was rushed to Infinity Hospital in Kapurbawdi after the attack, where his condition is said to be critical. Thane police are working to trace the assailants and establish the motive behind the attack. Police teams reached the spot soon after the shooting.
