Mumbai, Sept. 28 -- A day after the state government declared drought in 265 of its 358 talukas, NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar sought a 17-point relief package from CM Devendra Fadnavis for farmers, agricultural labourers and rural residents. His demands include an immediate waiver of agricultural loans, exemption from land revenue and electricity bills and Rs.1 lakh per hectare compensation for farmers.
